PRODUCT DISCLAIMER: Avoid spraying this product into fursuit eye mesh, cover the outside and inside of your fursuit eye sockets with paper towels or washcloths to guard it from the spray!

Avoid spraying on any airbrushing or drybrushing that is done with oil based paints or markers! Acrylic based paints or markers are fine. If your unsure about this ask your fursuit maker.

Discussion:

"What kinds of essential oils are safe/unsafe to use in fursuit disinfectant?"

Not all essential oils are good to use on fursuits. It is very important to read the labeling on your oils before you purchase them. If the oil your looking at says anything similar to:

"Aroma therapy use only" , "Avoid contact with eyes or skin" , "Avoid contact with clothing or fabrics"

If the oil your looking at says any of these things, do not use them! You spray the inside and outside of your suit when your disinfect it, when you wear your suit your skin is touching it and your eyes are close to the inside of the head. Therefore if its harmful to the skin and eyes you shouldn't use that oil. If the oil can't come in contact with fabric then this means the oil can stain your suit or can wear down the fibers, dont use oils with these disclaimers on them!

Fursuit Head Dryer:

Fursuit head dryers are usually seen as large, tree-like stands that are placed in many headless lounges at many furry conventions! These help dry the sweat out of your fursuit head faster so you can get back to suiting comfortably. While this is helpful, sharing a head dryer with hundreds of suiters can spread sickness and you also might want to dry your fursuit head in your hotel room instead of having to go into the headless lounge. This is a tutorial on how to make your own portable fursuit head dryer!

NOTE: This is a completely optional product, a small fan or box fan can be used the same way. This was just an experimental project I wanted to share!

Discussion:

"Why should I dry my fursuit head in between wear?"

Sweating is a huge part of fursuiting, wearing a balaclava with your fursuit head helps keep sweat out of it but it isn't going to keep ALL of the sweat out. Drying your head between wear can help keep it cleaner for longer, can help make you more comfortable (imagine showering and taking a break from suiting just to put your fursuit head back on and getting old sweat smeared on your face... yuck!), and can prolong the life of your suit! It can also help prevent molding.. If moisture stays in the foam for too long mold can grow! That is just bad news, this head dryer can also help your head dry faster after you wash it after a convention.

"Why cant I just use a fan/box fan?"

You can still use a fan if you would like to! The fursuit head dryer just props up the head more to dry it out faster. A head dryer is not a necessity like balaclavas and underarmor are, but it is a nice tool to use if you choose to build one yourself and is a fun project to try out!
